Three friends, aged 15, have initiated the creation of the Protolab technical engineering laboratory in the border community of Noyemberyan in the Tavush Province.
In an interview, one of the founders, Argam Amiraghyan, said that they came up with the idea two years ago, but the war forced them to be more active.
“In the beginning, we kept thinking about how we could make money and become financially independent. Two years ago, the idea to create a laboratory was born, but we started to work more actively on the idea after the war. Since the war showed us that every second is important and we should not wait around, we must work and create something new.”
According to Argam, one of the main goals is to show the young people living in the border community of Noyemberyan that it is also possible to make money using technology in their village.

Argam said that he and his two friends are students at the Armat engineering laboratory, which is where they received the majority of their knowledge.
“We wish to use this initiative to maintain the potential in our village and to give people the opportunity to live and work in their village instead of going to the capital. We want to keep the young people’s potential in the village because there are many intelligent young people in Noyemberyan, and they can make money here without having to leave.”
Their idea is to establish a technical engineering laboratory that will be equipped with modern technology.
“We will be creating sources of alternative energy, such as solar-powered batteries and wind turbine generators. We intend to work as freelancers in the beginning, and after we become more stable, we will create new ideas that will improve the quality of people’s lives.”
At the moment, the young people are trying to implement their ideas by raising enough money. “At the moment, we were able to raise $3,500.”
