On April 13, at 06:47 information was received to Ararat regional crisis management center that a car accident had occurred near the bridge of Artashat town on Yerevan-Meghri highway: there were casualties. The rescuers’ help was needed.
Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MES of RA dispatched to the scene.
It turned out that “Mitsubishi Pajero” car (driver L. A. born in 1987) had run off the roadway and turned over, as a result the driver had fallen into a water pipe and died on the spot and the casualties L. A. (born in 2015), T. A. (born in 2007) and G. A. (born in 1979) were hospitalized to the medical center of Artashat town, where the doctors assessed the health condition of the casualties as serious.
The rescuers took the corpse of the driver out of the water pipe and disconnected the automotive battery to the car.
