“Direct contact or cooperation has not taken place with the general prosecutor of Azerbaijan, but information has been exchanged at the mediation of Russia. The facts pertaining to our citizens’ torture and murder in Azerbaijani control are constantly being presented so that we can receive a fair response from Russiam” the General Prosecutor of Armenia, Artur Davtyan, said during the presentation of the annual report of the RA General Prosecutor’s office for 2020.
In his opinion, the result of the measures initiated by the criminal cases opened by the prosecution is that a lot of evidence has been obtained. “This shows that there are facts proving the selection of terrorist mercenaries by Turkey prior to the war and their transportation to Azerbaijan. Four dozen terrorists who have had direct participation are being investigated, including the leaders of groups.”
Artur Davtyan also noted that the war crimes committed by Azerbaijan have also received criminal-legal evaluations. “There are people to blame, but we do not wish to speak publicly about that at this time.”
