The United Armenia political party held a meeting with young people on May 7th.
During the meeting, Yervand Tarverdyan said that they wish to listen to the youth as far as what projects they should implement. “As a young political force, we are, perhaps, trying to establish a new culture in politics. Just as my friend would say, ‘Yervand, how do you want to get involved in politics when you never lie?’ I told him calmly, ‘I will raise the political benchmark in Armenia. People will no longer lie, and the well-known immoral and other terms will not be used in their daily lives for them to justify their lies and wrongful actions.’”
The young people were interested in how Yervand Tarverdyan intends to reawaken the interest of the youth. “My friends nicknamed me ‘alarm.’ Why? Because people wake up when I talk to them. Their desire to live and create increases, and I beg them to participate in the upcoming elections. These elections are perhaps the most important of the last 100 years.”

He added that no country can move forward without its youth. “It is necessary to create the conditions for the youth to become educated, have the right to work, be equals with the mentality that we are all Armenians, and live peacefully. We should not divide people among poles, but we should ask everyone to unite and never worry about whether there will be a civil war as a result of the victory of a certain party. And we always need to bow to our youth. They are the ones who are our future. They are the ones who will build our country.”
The young people also asked him to speak about culture and how the political party will promote the development of culture. Yervand Tarverdyan said, “When I speak to my teammates, I tell them that the time will come where there will no longer be political borders in the world. They were surprised at first. I responded that there will come a time where there will only be cultural borders. Armenia has presented its rich culture as a country that has a culture that spans millennia. And if we confirm today that our homeland is the entire Armenian Highlands, and not just a small portion of it where we live currently, that will be represented in our culture.”
