In the coming 6 months, a total of 211 new 8.6-meter low-floor buses will operate in the capital city of Yerevan in accordance with international standards. The mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan spoke about this today during the regular session of the city council.
He said that during the previous city council session, a contract was signed according to which the municipality would obtain 161 8.6-meter low-floor buses in accordance with international standards. “I want to inform you that we already signed another contract for 50 similar buses. We will also receive them in the next six months. This resulted in 211 8.6-meter buses.”
These new buses will operate using CNG (natural gas), which is considered to be a green fuel.
