‘Azerbaijan should never dictate an agenda for Armenia’: Robert Kocharyan

May 26,2021 19:13

“Azerbaijan should never dictate an agenda for Armenia,” Robert Kocharyan said during a joint press conference of the leaders of the Armenia bloc at the central pre-election headquarters with the representative of the ARF Supreme Body, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, and the leader of the Reviving Armenia party, Vahe Hakobyan.

He ties Azerbaijan’s statements with Armenia’s domestic political agenda. And it is clear whom Azerbaijan would like to see as the Armenian prime minister.

In response to questions about delimitation, Robert Kocharyan said, “At the moment, delimitation can cause several problems for the Artsakh negotiations process. The sense of urgency that the Azerbaijani side is displaying right now has to do with its influence on the Artsakh conflict negotiations process. In general, it is not necessary to be too scared of delimitation. However, at the moment, it is a very problematic issue.”
