The Armenia bloc presented its ‘365 days: The future starts now’ pre-election program on Saturday.
While presenting security and foreign relations policies, Robert Kocharyan said that he promises to restore the battle preparedness of the armed forces in order to maintain dignified peace. “The NSS should handle the country’s security issues instead of handling stupid orders, such as finding Satan, checking for receipts, or persecuting the opposition. Officers with high levels of professionalism serve in the NSS, and for them, I believe that such orders are insulting. We will implement measures to never again allow the NSS to be transformed into political intelligence. The police are not created to organize the safe movement of an official, to satisfy their whims and serve morbid fears. We will return the police to the field of functions exclusively provided by the laws of the Republic of Armenia. What we see almost every day now is abnormal.”
Regarding the foreign policy sector, Kocharyan said that they will stop the cheap “shrewdness” policies that are being implemented today. “There is another word written here for me- cleverness- but I call this cheap shrewdness. Only fools can do this in our modern digital world. We will restore confidence in the country as a predictable and understandable partner. At the bilateral level, we will offer our partners a new and understandable agenda for cooperation. Defeat in war should not limit us to the complex of the loser. I assure you, this is one of the most difficult problems to overcome in the coming years. Defeat is a heavy blow, but we must help the people to overcome the loser complex.”
