“I would like for there to be a sense of political responsibility. The answer must be given in a political context. Otherwise, a service investigation was ordered and two people were fired, but this kind behavior and chaotic regard towards such a sensitive and important issue… they know how sensitive this issue is for parents and society.
How can they treat it like this?” the head of the Bright Armenia party, Edmon Marukyan, told reporters during a briefing in parliament on Tuesday in reference to how the acting Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, apologized for the inappropriate storage of the bodies of Armenian soldiers killed during the war.
“June 20th will be Nikol Pashinyan’s ‘sentencing.’ Let the people go with all these cases and see that trial. I do not know any other option. In honor of that minister, she apologized. I do not know any other minister who apologized for any issue. There is another question of whether or not anyone needs that apology,” Edmon Marukyan said.
