The head of the Prosperous Armenia party and the party’s candidate for prime minister, Gagik Tsarukyan, continued the election campaign in the Syunik province on Sunday. In reference to Syunik’s security issues, Tsarukyan again emphasized the necessity of signing a new military-political agreement with Russia. “In order to maintain our security, the most important thing is that we must sign a military-political document with our allied nation, Russia, in order for Armenian soldiers to maintain the borders with Russian soldiers so that the people of Syunik can sleep peacefully without tension,” Tsarukyan emphasized.
Only in that case, not even a fly could cross our border with prepared soldiers. Tsarukyan said that Azerbaijan is not fighting against Armenia alone; Turkey is on its side. “That is why our allied nation, Russia, needs to be on our side,” Tsarukyan said. Tsarukyan wishes to overcome this situation and have a strong, developing country without ‘blacks and whites.’ “This cannot be implemented only through empty words. People must be knowledgeable and organized, and they must do work in all sectors,” the Prosperous Armenia leader said.
