The Office of the Human Rights Defender has recorded photos of the cast ballot on social networks, in some cases accompanied by insulting posts.
This process violates electoral rights.
The Human Rights Defender finds it necessary to remind all citizens that that the Criminal Code considers it a crime to compel a voter to disclose the result of his vote, the checking of the ballot to find out the result of the voting, entering the voting booth (room), as well as violating the secrecy of the ballot in any other manner. This act is punishable by a fine of 500.000-700.000 Drams, or by the deprivation of liberty by 2-5 years.
Moreover, openly voting in a visible manner to a third party (with the exception of the person assisting the voter), as well as the violation of the secrecy of the ballot by publishing a document revealing the result of the voting by a photo or video recording of the voting is punishable by a fine of 100,000-200,000 Drams.
