Aravot Daily asked the head of the Verelk political party and the party’s candidate for Prime Minister, Aleksan Minasyan, to comment on the incident that took place at 8:30 AM in the Azatashen village’s 11/11 polling station. Verelk’s proxy had noticed violations, which they tried to receive an explanation for, but then they were attacked, as a result of which the proxy and a deputy candidate were taken to the hospital. Aleksan Minasyan said that a legal team is already working on the issue.
“The issue must be discussed from a professional standpoint because it is impossible: 20 people attacked two people with baseball bats… what does this mean? Is this an election or a battlefield? I am angry that these people did not do the same thing on the battlefield. Things like this make me angry.” We asked what he voted in favor of and what expectations he has for the elections. “The results will be clear later on. I voted in favor of justice and a safe Armenia,” the Verelk party leader said.
