The representative of the “Independent Observer” observation mission, Daniel Ioannisyan, presented the current results of the election observations. He noted that a mission of about 700 people has been monitoring the voting process since this morning and has witnessed a number of problematic phenomena.
“Guns were used twice in the republic, and in several polling stations, we noticed that the commission leader was not appropriately aware of their functions. In some polling stations, such as 8/36, 10/3, and 34/08, there were cases where voters were not given the number 3 ballots. In general, there were incidents in around 10 percent of our polling stations where voters were not given all the ballots,” the representative said. “In some cases, a commission member may accidentally not give a ballot to a voter, but when it is regular occurrence and refers to the same party, and in these three cases, in three polling stations, we have this happening, we already come to the conclusion that the commission member tries to prevent the electorate from voting for that party,” Daniel Ioannisyan emphasized. He added that over the past few days, he has received information about bribes and incidents of pressure upon voters.
