“If appeals are made for a recount, that will naturally be discussed. From today, the notations made by the territorial electoral commissions will be studied. If there are records of violations, the territorial commissions should make decisions with them as well,” the director of the Central Electoral Commission, Tigran Mukuchyan, stated at a briefing with journalists at the RA Central Electoral Commission on Monday. “This is a process, which after ending on the 7th day, will change the results of the elections,” said Tigran Mukuchyan.
Reporters asked if they understood correctly that Civil Contract can be the sole party to form a majority, and I Have Honor will be the third force to enter parliament. Mukuchyan responded, “According to the preliminary data, that seems to be the picture. But we did not count the number of deputies, and it is too soon to make such calculations in this stage. That will happen on the 7th day.”
In response to the question of what will happen if the Armenia and I Have Honor alliances reject their mandate, Tigran Mukuchyan said that the institution of rejecting mandates is not operating in this stage. “There can be an option where, say, the candidates reject their mandates.” But in this case, according to Tigran Mukuchyan, the following numbers on the lists will receive those mandates.
