Nairi Hokhikyan said, “Since Artur Ayvazyan had his last interview with me, and he presented facts about the loss of Shushi and Hadrut in the film, his family believes that it has to do with his arrest. He was openly saying that the government had a treasonous plot that was deliberately carried out in Hadrut’s case specifically. He had been in Hadrut. He was the commander of the special intelligence-sabotage subdivision. He spoke about how the loss of Hadrut was organized, which is mentioned in the film. He knew. He said that speaking about all of that would lead to them putting pressure on him, but he spoke about it anyway. He said that he will open up about it, and he will uncover even more about Hadrut and Chartar, as far as how they tried to convince him to leave Chartar. But he was not going to leave, and he was not the only one to talk about that. Other people who participated in the defense of Chartar also spoke about that. They said that Artur Ayvazyan remained in Chartar until the end. They tried to convince him to leave so that the Turks would go to Chartar, but he did not agree.”
It should be noted that according to the information we received, a preliminary investigation is underway against Arthur Ayvazyan in connection to the video he posted on social media in the “Armenian National Army” group in June, in which people were swearing at Nikol Pashinyan and chief of the General Staff Artak Davtyan. Artur Ayvazyan’s representative, lawyer Ara Zakaryan, whom he is not able to contact at the moment, made a post on social media about how what is happening to Manakh is political persecution. The reason is his speech criticizing the government.
