The people are delighted with their “brilliant victory” in the elections; the “people” can rejoice, beat their drums, give the prime minister the “steel mandate” and the “sword of justice” so that he can carry out vendettas, vetting, lustration, etc. Congratulations to all those who are happy. This is the “bright” side of reality.
Now let’s turn to the “dark side.” According to official data, there are at least 1,000 Azerbaijani servicemen in the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. Did they leave as a result of the “victory of the people?” Our prisoners of war are being tried in Baku under the heaviest accusations. Did they return to Armenia due to us “smashing” “bad” people in our country? I understand that the “people” are not interested in these issues. Anyway, let me record for history.
I would also like to remind readers who are interested in reality that Russian President Putin had active contact with Aliyev and Erdogan this week. It is clear that the key topic of their talks was the issues related to Armenia. In this regard, I will simply list what Turkey and Azerbaijan demand from us as the loser in the war: the recognition of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, which implies recognition of Artsakh as an integral part of that country, recognition of Turkey’s integrity by the reaffirmation of the Kars Treaty, a corridor between the two countries in the Syunik province of Armenia that will not be controlled by us, and the refusal to pursue genocide recognition in international courts in our international relations.
As far as I understand, Russia is not against these demands and is actively mediating to implement those programs, perhaps with some corrections and additions of its own. I do not know to what extent Armenia is involved in this whole process. It is safe to say that the cards of our country are bad in this respect, and our army is not able to defend the borders of Armenia, and for that we should especially thank the government of the “victorious people.”

On the other hand, it is clear that you have to play with bad cards as well. For that, first of all, it is necessary to have a Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and, besides, the head of state must take into account the specialists working in that structure. But do not forget that all kinds of specialists and “rotten four-eyes” have lost to the “people” in this election, and it turns out that we should not ask for their opinion.
