The mother of Albert Hovhannisyan, a hero of the 2020 war, Manik Achemyan, was invited to the Special Investigative Service of Armenia for interrogation. Aravot Daily spoke to Achemyan’s defender, lawyer Artur Nahapetyan, who informed, “Mrs. Achemyan is an employee at the Izmirlyan Medical Center, which is why she was invited to the SIS. It is known that a criminal case was opened against one of the members of the Armenia alliance, Mr. Charchyan, in connection with the latter forcing people in official dependence to participate in the elections conditioned by that circumstance.
In the framework of this case, Mrs. Achemyan was summoned to the SIS as a witness. She did not go, so I went and informed them about the respectable reasons due to which Mrs. Achemyan could not appear at today’s interrogation.”
Albert Hovhannisyan’s father, Artak Hovhannisyan, wrote about the interrogation. “During and after the war, facts were touched upon many times and facts were brought about conspiratorial, pre-planned actions, which were done to the detriment of our Armenian soldiers. As the father of the hero Albert Hovhannisyan, I expected that one day the representatives of the Special Investigative Service would knock on my and other’s doors in order to make revelations or clarifications in the mentioned field. But no, today the investigative service invites Albert Hovhannisyan’s mother for political revelations.”
