“It is obvious that the voting was influenced by the social polarization in our society. This is a fact, it is a bad fact, and it should not have been so,” Robert Kocharyan, the second President of Armenia and the Armenia alliance’s candidate for prime minister, stated during the general meeting of the Armenia alliance, adding that “class polarization” arose as a result of the current government’s propaganda, but everything should be done to neutralize it as it is a dangerous polarization. Robert Kocharyan reiterated his conviction that the voting results were also “thanks” to the danger of the “former regime” returning, as the three former presidents were in the face of the electoral process. The third reason, according to the second president, is that in 2018 the “natural institution of opinion makers” in Armenia was destroyed and the result is that “many famous figures lost in their villages.”
In the status of the parliamentary opposition, in Robert Kocharyan’s opinion, the Armenia alliance has a good opportunity to “stop the government’s lawlessness.” He considers this to be an important toolkit that they will have. Robert Kocharyan also spoke about what the government should do, saying that there are two paths of action. The first is to continue what we have done so far. “Repressions, persecutions, and actions that are more beneficial for Baku and Ankara, actions that are not in Armenia’s interests.” Or, learn from what happened and radically change the policy. “They had that opportunity, but it is obvious that they chose the first way.”
According to Robert Kocharyan, this government will not be able to solve problems with its behavior and the same people, especially since they did not even understand that the reason for the existing problems was their work style and worldviews. “They are evil, they will continue the persecution and I am sure that it will lead to new snap elections. As this government is not problem-solving, but problem-creating, I predict we will have snap elections in about 1.5 years.”
In this case, the Armenia alliance will not leave the government alone after causing our defeat, the loss of five thousand people, the loss of Shushi and Hadrut, and first of all, they will not leave it alone, because the government does not admit its guilt in all that. “We will show who is to blame and how everything happened, and how this catastrophe hung over our country. This was an artificial war, we will prove it.”

The Armenia alliance will be a radical opposition and use all the tools prescribed by law, restore trust in the parliamentary opposition by closing the page of the opposition to deal with the government, prove that this government that talks the most about corruption is the most corrupt, and combine parliamentary work with street protests and media activities.
