The sides will be making concluding speeches in the Constitutional Court on Wednesday.

The Constitutional Court continued to discuss appeals made by the opposition political forces, namely the Armenia and I Have Honor alliances, and the Zartonk and Armenian Homeland political parties, challenging the results of the June 20, 2021 elections in joint proceedings.

Adjacent respondent, Deputy Chief of Police Ara Fidanyan, responded to a question posed by Aram Vardevanyan, a representative of the Armenia alliance, about the number of changes in the voter lists between 2018 and 2021. Vardevanyan announced his number: it is about 116 thousand people. By the way, this does not include 18-year-olds. He promised to transfer the data of those people to the court by the carrier.

On Wednesday, Fidanyan countered. “Vardevanyan noted that there is data regarding 116 thousand new people in the 2021 voter lists. I must state that according to the information available in the state population register, this difference is not 116 thousand, but 123 thousand 235 people, of which 67,180 voters were included in the voter lists on the occasion of turning 18, 28,254 voters on returning from military service and registration by residence, 6,642 voters on the occasion of acquiring Armenian citizenship and registration in Armenia, 1,038 voters on the occasion of returning from places of imprisonment and registering by place of residence. In addition, the number of citizens in the 2021 voter lists has increased to 20,121, who were not registered during 2018 and were registered at any address until June 13, 2021.”
