The organizers of the 32nd Summer Olympics in Tokyo have not yet clarified if the traditional opening ceremony will take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and if there are plans anyways, in what format will the ceremony take place.

Aravot Daily asked the head secretary of the ANOC, Hrachya Rostomyan, if the issue of who Armenia’s flag bearer will be has been discussed. Rostomyan said that boxer Hovhannes Bachkov will have the honor.
