The resolution of Artsakh’s status is the priority issue, and since it is not finalized and the negotiations within the OSCE Minsk Group have not resumed, it will be difficult to talk about solutions. Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said this in an interview with reporters in response to a reporter’s question about his interpretation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s statement that Armenia is not ready to sign the peace agreement.

He noted that they prioritize the negotiations process, as well as the somewhat positive developments that have taken place within the opening of communications part of the negotiations process. “However, all final resolutions, peace agreements, delimitation, and demarcation contain certain gaps. The first and most important issue is the status of Artsakh and the people of Artsakh.”

According to Avinyan, the Azerbaijani side did not provide information through any other channel than the public statement. “There are no negotiations with Azerbaijan on a peace agreement.”
