The mayor of Kajaran was arrested after being accused of violating three articles of the Criminal Code.
“A fragile soul in a strong body, the one he was talking to, understood what was needed. By talking to them, the one who helps them is arrested today. Why? Because the government wants to arrest patriots and the strong. We must stand by our mayor Manvel Paramazyan,” said Satenik Smbatyan during a protest initiated by the women of Kajaran in defense of the mayor of Kajaran.
The mayor of Kajaran, Manvel Paramazyan, was arrested on July 10th. He was charged with Article 38-178 (aiding and abetting fraud), Article 311 (bribery), and Article 154.2 (bribery, bribery of voters, violation of the prohibition of charity during elections or free will of a voter, obstruction of implementation).
