On Tuesday, Judge Anna Danibekyan decided to cancel the seizure on the property and financial assets of Sedrak Kocharyan, the son of the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. Lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan, a member of Robert Kocharyan’s defense group, submitted a motion to the court. According to the defense, the body conducting the proceedings still seized Sedrak Kocharyan’s property during the preliminary investigation, considering that the latter’s property belongs to Robert Kocharyan.
According to the lawyer, the arrest on Sedrak Kocharyan’s property cannot in any way contribute to the investigation of this case and the judicial goals. After hearing the parties, Judge Anna Danibekyan ruled that the already seized property was sufficient for the court to achieve its judicial goals and overturn the preliminary body’s decision from October 25, 2018 to seize Sedrak Kocharyan’s movable and immobile property, financial assets, shares, and securities, as well as his bank accounts with “Nairi Insurance” and “Target” LLC.
