“The ruling party provoked this fight in its speeches,” the head of the Armenia alliance faction and former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan told reporters in parliament.
Seyran Ohanyan was angered during ruling party deputy Hayk Sargsyan’s speech, and he threw his water bottle toward Hayk Sargsyan, who was standing near the National Assembly podium. Hayk Sargsyan said that all the ministers of defense under whose administration people were released from the army with money or calls are traitors. Seyran Ohanyan countered, saying that such a thing did not happen during his administration, and Hayk Sargsyan and the ruling party he belongs to are the traitors.
Hayk Sargsyan said something and insulted Seyran Ohanyan. Seyran Ohanyan said that a physical fight did not break out in the parliament; they simply shoved and pushed each other. When asked if Nikol Pashinyan also participated in the argument, Seyran Ohanyan said that he did not see Pashinyan. “I was not wearing my glasses. They fell to the ground.”
