Last week, Ambassador Tracy visited Trinity Canyon Vineyards, the beneficiary of the “My Armenia” project, funded by USAID and implemented by the Smithsonian Institution.

With the project support, Trinity Canyon Vineyards joined five other wineries of Vayots Dzor to create a Wine Route, an exciting adventure for tourists who like to explore the ancient winemaking traditions and learn about the rich and diverse culture of the regions of Armenia.

With the co-owners of Trinity, Hovakim Saghatelyan and Vahe Baloulian, Ambassador Tracy had the opportunity to discuss the potential for community-based tourism, winemaking and agriculture to boost regional economic development.
