Some of Armenia’s most delicious and healthy dairy products come from Hamov Kat LLC, a production facility in Lori marz. USAID has supported Hamov Kat build their business; this in turn has helped increase the amount and improve the quality of milk production. This successful business also supports the community by offering employment and economic opportunities.
Last week, U.S. Ambassador Lynne M. Tracy visited the production facility and was impressed by the establishment. Hamov Kat doesn’t just produce milk, it also provides employment opportunities to community members and partners with other USAID-supported producers to get the best quality products to the public.
She noted: “It is a joy to visit projects like this that help promote rural entrepreneurship, improve production, and help forge local partnerships between businesses and their community for sustainable results.” Hamov Kat LLC was supported by USAID through the Advanced Rural Economic Development Initiative (ARDI) project which was completed in 2019.
