“Syunik will be the beginning, just as Adjara was the beginning for Georgia,” Gagik Minasyan, a member of the Republican Party’s executive body, told reporters at the Hayeli press club. He believed that it is obvious that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has a goal. “If we follow his deeds and his steps, then first of all it is the expulsion of Armenians from Syunik and the beheading of its fighting force because all the community leaders who are in prison today have proven with their lives that they will not surrender a meter of their homeland.
They were not the ones who gave in. Such a person is unacceptable for Nikol Pashinyan. And by beheading the leaders of that militant movement in Syunik, he is implementing his plan. The plan is to make Syunik a vilayet and an annexed territory, as Adjara is in Georgia.” According to him, if Adjara means nothing to Georgia, Syunik means everything to Armenia. “Because it is the only way to the Islamic Republic of Iran. And if God forbid what we saw happen in Adjara repeat in Syunik, then the future of the rest of Armenia must be predetermined.”
