The Nikol Aghbalyan Student’s Union held a protest near the government building with posters saying, “Thirty years have been ruined with your pen,” “Nikol is the number one enemy of national security,” and other statements. Prior to this demonstration, as reported by the union, the police demanded from the organizers not to use a megaphone. The police took a young man using the microphone into custody a little while ago. They also brought several other young people with him, noting that they did not obey the police’s demand.
“They have been taken into custody for speaking over the megaphone. This is a repression against the citizens of the Republic of Armenia who just want to have their say and raise their voices about the events taking place in the country,” said one of the protesters. According to him, they did not intend to close the street, they just wanted to say that many construction projects have takn place in Shushi, and Pashinyan lied when he said that no construction was done in Shushi.
