“Without the signature of Chief of General Staff Artak Davtyan, that ammunition could not have been included in the balance of the armed forces”: Arthur Ghazinyan

October 13,2021 13:33

“Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan is quite consistently fighting against corruption in the army. With his light hand, the biggest corruption fact in the recent history of Armenia was revealed, and due to his efforts, Davit Tonoyan and Stepan Galstyan are in prison today,” said Artur Ghazinyan, a member of the Armenia faction, during a meeting with journalists on October 12. The Armenia and I Have Honor factions held a press conference.

“I want to encourage Mr. Kocharyan to be consistent in that issue and to reveal all such corruption cases in Nikol Pashinyan’s government, and there are quite many. Let it be seen that during this administration, people who have held high-ranking positions now and in the past who were involved in corrupt deals will find themselves behind bars. Let him follow up and find out about the deal the balance of ammunition was entered into, whether it was reported to Nikol Pashinyan or not, and whether the Chief of General Staff, Artak Davtyan, who was then the Chief of General Staff, signed it, as without his signature, that ammunition could not be included in the balance of the armed forces. What is the reason for the fact that the current head of the General Staff has not been charged? In other words, can we think that this is just a show. Are they just blowing dust in people’s eyes?”
