Speaking to reporters today, Vahe Hakobyan, a member of the Armenia faction from Syunik, answered a question related to Paylasar regarding whether it is under the control of the Azerbaijanis, even though the Ministry of Defense denies it.
“The mayor of Kapan explained on a very detailed map. No one will present the real picture better than he did today. Moreover, we also have a problem in Shikahogh, Chakaten, and Srashen, because the Azerbaijani armed forces, not encountering any diplomatic or other resistance, are moving forward. Presumably, we will also lose the hill in front of Shikahogh, which is directly connected to the village.”
In response to the question of whose control Paylasar is under now, Vahe Hakobyan answered, “As far as I understand, it is under Azerbaijani control.” When reminded of the ruling party’s explanations, Vahe Hakobyan responded, “The ruling party has been talking for 3 years. It is not serious.”
