On Friday, the Armenia alliance organized a discussion titled ‘The Threats to Armenia and Artsakh and Ways to Overcome Them.’ In his speech, ARF Bureau Chairman Armen Rustamyan said that Armenia is facing a dilemma: peace due to the strengthening of Armenia or at the expense of Armenia’s Turkification? He noted that there is competition between Russia and Turkey in the ongoing process. And now the question is what the new geopolitical map of the region will look like for us. “Turkey has declared about 70 countries with Turkic-speaking peoples as its strategic interests. And the countries from which threats to neo-Ottoman programs can come are targeted as obstacles to Pan-Turkism.”
He noted that by falling into the Panturan pliers, Armenia may finally find itself in a geopolitical park. Today, Syunik is the one that takes Armenia out of that park and keeps it on the geopolitical line. “This is the geopolitical consequence of the Turkification of Armenia when the world is no longer interested in anything, and the existence of the state is conditioned exclusively by Turkey’s favor. The end result of Turkification for the sake of peace is the inevitable collapse of Armenian statehood.” Armen Rustamyan also stressed that the Turkification of Armenia and the eviction of Armenians from Artsakh is the main goal of the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem to get the most out of this war as soon as possible. They want to achieve complete capitulation in the conditions of illegal practice.
“Imposing destructive concessions on the people in the face of stealth and destiny has become the inviolable mark of this regime.” He warned that vital concessions could be made in the wake of pathetic statements about peace in the region. There are already irreversible consequences, the prime example being the situation on the border. By taking positions with our own permission, Azerbaijan is forcing a demarcation process. The only way is to form a resistance ring against all this.
