Bagrat Yesayan.  “Nikol Pashinyan violated one of the most important terms of the trilateral statement”

In an interview with Aravot Daily, Bagrat Yesayan, a member of the ARF Supreme Body of Armenia, referred to Nikol Pashinyan’s statement in the National Assembly that at the end of the 44-day war, he had issued an order for the Armenian troops to withdraw from their positions fixed by the trilateral statement. He said that Nikol Pashinyan violated one of the most important points of the trilateral statement.

“What happened after November 9, 2020, to December is a concrete fact of high treason. Actions not taken from the tripartite statement were taken then and today by the incumbent, who, having no documentary basis, ordered the troops to leave their bases at that time. Meanwhile, you all remember that according to the statement, our troops at least remained in the areas of Sanasar and Kovsakan, where they were standing at that time. So, violating the tripartite statement, he conceded territories. This is a clear indication of high treason, and this person should be held accountable for the fact that he gave that order to the Armenian army.

I also know from the example of our boys how they just gritted their teeth and retreated from their positions. And today, as a result, settlements in the territory of the Republic of Armenia are in direct danger of being shelled. Even he can not say that Azerbaijan was attacking and the Russians forced us to retreat. No, the document signed by the Russians and Putin states that the Armenian troops remain in their positions. I think he handed over the territories from the same starting point as the road to Shushi. The agreement was made in advance. And his testimony yesterday was proof that he handed over the lands up to Shushi in Nagorno Karabakh and up to the border of the Armenian SSR to Armenia.”
