Phone conversation of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia
On November 1, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan held a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov.
The interlocutors touched upon the issues on the Armenian-Russian bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as on international and regional agenda.
The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia discussed a wide range of issues on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Minister Ararat Mirzoyan reiterated Armenia’s readiness to continue working within the framework and the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship for the comprehensive and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on well-known principles and elements.

Both sides emphasized the addressing of humanitarian issues resulting from the 44-day war. Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the need for the unconditional repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war and others detained, as well as the preservation of the Armenian religious and historical-cultural heritage in the territories of Artsakh fallen under the Azerbaijani control.
The sides touched upon the implementation process of the November 9 and January 11 trilateral statements, as well as implementation of the commitments undertaken by these statements.
