Arman Tatoyan said on November 3 that visits were made to the border settlements of the Republic of Armenia, as well as a year of uninterrupted studies in Syunik and Gegharkunik. The report presents specific dangers that threaten the Armenian population. Azerbaijani positions and locations are projected on the map. The RA Ombudsman assured that the Azerbaijani criminal actions, often of a terrorist nature, were substantiated exclusively by facts.
“We have substantiated the need for a security zone. We have argued that the Azerbaijani military, flags, various equipment, and cameras should be removed from the roads directly connecting our villages and our communities. There can be no restoration of rights or normal daily life without it. It should not be at our expense, but they should leave. The report shows that their installations are illegal. They appeared in the immediate vicinity of our villages. We have cases when the Azerbaijani armed forces are physically present on lands owned by people since the Soviet Union.”
He stated that demarcation can not be considered legitimate if they do not comply with the rules of democracy, or if the rule of law and human rights are not guaranteed.
