“There is no need for large-scale hospitality for our Artsakh compatriots at the moment. If before we paid people to host people from Artsakh in their apartments, now we will provide the money to the people of Artsakh, who will decide what to do with that money,” said RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan in a conversation with journalists in the parliament on Friday. He informed that two employment programs are being implemented for the people of Artsakh.

Those with disabilities and those who have children will be provided 50 thousand AMD, and 25 thousand AMD will be provided to all retirees. According to the Minister, a housing program is also being implemented in Artsakh.  “We will continue to solve the problem of decent housing here until we solve the issue of final housing in Artsakh. We also have a plan to buy apartments for Artsakh residents in Armenia and Artsakh. At the moment, more than 100 thousand of our compatriots live in Artsakh. They will all be in the same security environment both in Stepanakert and the surrounding areas,” said Narek Mkrtchyan. According to the minister, there are still approximately 20,000 people from Artsakh in Armenia.
