“Azerbaijan’s actions are provocative. Let’s see what is the interest of the people. We need a situation in which we will be able to discuss this with the co-chairs and continue the interrupted discussions on the Artsakh issue. Maybe for newspapers or posts we can say, oh, they said such a thing, what are we saying, but sorry, we are here to represent the interests of the country, not to say something to each other. Azerbaijan’s behavior is conditioned by momentary excitement,” said NA Speaker Alen Simonyan during a briefing with journalists in the parliament regarding how one Armenian was killed and three others were wounded in the section called “Under Shushi.”
In response to the remark that an Armenian citizen was shot, Alen Simonyan asked, “What, what is contradictory between what you and I said?” The journalist answered that we are talking about peace, and they are shooting. Simonyan asked a question again, “If we talk about the war, won’t they shoot? Our answer is adequate. We should not provoke and start a war. Of course it is not normal that an Armenian was killed. Do you want to suggest that we start a war?”
