We are ridiculed not only in Azerbaijan, but all over the world, and the reason for all this is the current regime, which will touch our country like cancer. This opinion was expressed by the deputy of the Armenia faction Gegham Nazaryan during the discussion held in the parliament on November 11.
The opposition MP assured that no part of the Goris-Kapan road is even in the territory of Azerbaijan with Soviet maps and that is why the road was built that way.
“Even if the X kilometer of the Goris-Kapan road is in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the border between Soviet Armenia and Soviet Azerbaijan, with intermediaries and even without intermediaries, it was possible to keep that road completely under our control. This is not just an omission. It is a much deeper problem, and the level of betrayal is great,” he said, noting that this road does not connect any Azerbaijani settlement with another. “They do not need that road in any way.
This road is nothing for Azerbaijan, but it has an important purpose: in this way, Iran is connected to Armenia, Georgia, and Russia,” Gegham Nazaryan said, adding that the Armenian side will return the road and the international community will stand by us in this issue, if, of course, a major problem will be solved: authorities serving the interests of Armenia and the Armenian people will be established in Armenia.

Artur Khachatryan, a member of the Armenia faction, does not consider it accidental that the announcement about the location of the Azerbaijani customs point was accompanied by an announcement from the Armenian government that the Tatev-Aghavno road is asphalted. “They present that high, winding road as an alternative road. If that road was an alternative, it would be a part of cargo and passenger transportation that way. Those who have traveled that way will prove that this road is very beautiful, but extreme. I go jeeping there because it causes an adrenaline rush. I can not imagine how the drivers will lift heavy loads through that road,” said Artur Khachatryan.
The opposition MP has reasonable doubts that everything is demarcated and delimited, otherwise the RA government would not call that territory Azerbaijani.
“What is called disputed territory in the international arena, our government as a manifestation of good will andon the basis of some kind of document, or on the basis of a document or a verbal agreement, has given to Azerbaijan. I will not be surprised if all this goes so deep that the Azeris who once lived in Kapan, Meghri, Amasia, and Gugark will return and demand their homes, for example, an Armenian family lived in Amasia for 30 years, where an Azeri lived before. They will also demand compensation for the damage.”
