Manuel Manukyan, a participant in the April Four-Day War, was summoned to the Serious Crimes Investigation Department of the Yerevan City Investigation Department. Manuel Manukyan wrote about this in a Facebook post. Manuel Manukyan learned from the notice that a criminal case had been filed against him for seriously insulting, cursing, or damaging an individual’s dignity in another extreme, indecent manner.
By the way, Manuel Manukyan received the notice to appear in the Investigation Department on November 12 on November 18. The criminal case was initiated on the basis of one of his Facebook posts where he named Nikol Pashinyan. He claimed that there is no insult, especially swearing, in his post.
In a conversation with Aravot, Manuel Manukyan said that in his estimation, that particular post is not essential, it was just an occasion to try to persecute, intimidate, and silence him. He declared that they will not succeed, he will not be silent. “I think that everything is done by Nikol Pashinyan’s orders. As I always raise painful topics and issues that correspond to reality, they try to silence me in this way,” he said, adding that people who pursue state and public interests in the Republic of Armenia who reveal the government’s treacherous plans will henceforth fall victim to such persecution in order to remain silent in the end.
The analysis of what happened in the 44-day war and the number of victims on the Armenian side give him grounds to state that the government at that time tried to get rid of patriotic and dedicated people, urging them to go to the front, but they were no longer able to control the war in general or combat operations in different directions.
During the 44-day war, Manuel Manukyan was also wounded and did not understand why the government was pursuing him instead of restoring his health. Anyway, he said that he would not avoid the investigation; he had no reason for that. He waited for the investigator to call him, but they did not. He thinks they will meet in the coming working days.
