On November 22, a protest rally was organized in the Republic Square on the initiative of the 5165 movement, demanding the publication of the document on demarcation and delimitation to be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The leader of the movement, Karin Tonoyan, announced that they are starting the demonstrations of disobedience and will present their demands.
“We only talk for a year, it’s time to get to work.”
She said that they will cooperate with other members of the opposition field. “They did everything for a year so that we would not trust each other. Now we will trust each other, all the forces for which this struggle is supra-political, supra-partisan. It is a struggle for the homeland and all the forces that do not see the fate of Armenia under any other force see an independent, sovereign Armenia. We will demand from the parliamentary opposition to play their role in the National Assembly.”
The initiators of the movement, standing in front of the government, presented their demand. “We have reasonable doubts about the document that vital territories and strategic channels and heights will be surrendered to the enemy from Armenia, and Artsakh will be recognized as part of Azerbaijan.

Our concerns are growing as both parliamentary and extra-parliamentary initiatives to uncover the content of this document fail. According to the RA Constitution, the issues related to the change of the RA territory are resolved exclusively through a referendum. By the decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Armenia of July 8, 1992, any international or domestic document where Nagorno-Karabakh will be mentioned as part of Azerbaijan is inadmissible for Armenia. Based on the above, we demand from the government to present the content of the document mentioned by Nikol Pashinyan.” The members of the movement submitted the application to the government.
