“Resolving territorial disputes, which has caused deep suffering to your people, will require patience and time,” Fabio Massimo Castaldo, Vice President of the European Parliament, said in a video message during the ARF Dashnaktsutyun conference in Yerevan on Monday. He stressed, “There are certainly prospects for successful diplomatic solutions, and the European Union will stand by you, offering the necessary assistance in rebuilding and finding a balanced compromise that will not add to what Armenia has already lost․․․ We must not give up on everything that Armenia has achieved since its independence.”
Fabio Massimo Castaldo also expressed confidence that today, Armenia is on an ambitious path of reforms, which will strengthen the democratic process and economic development.
“I once again express my commitment and strong support in the work of the European Parliament. Be sure that the voice of Armenian communities in Europe and around the world are heard by us. Under no circumstances can we tolerate further human rights violations. We can no longer accept that force and military power will exceed the rule of law and democracy.” Around 50 representatives from more than 20 Armenian National Committees and offices, as well as ARF party bodies, participated in the conference. The agenda referred to all spheres of work of the ANCA committees and offices, from achieving a pro-Armenian solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in the current situation to international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, reparations, countering the anti-Armenian activities of Turkey and Azerbaijan, etc.
