More than 300 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and decision-makers from the Eastern Partner countries and the EU will meet online from 30 November to 2 December for the 13th Annual Assembly of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF), ‘Road to recovery: fostering reform and resilience for a stronger Eastern Partnership’.
The Assembly will discuss the last steps and challenges ahead of the 6th Eastern Partnership Summit (15-16 December 2021), as well as the ambitions and policy objectives set out in the new policy documents.
Ahead of the EaP Summit, speakers will address the crucial role of civil society on the road to recovery and in strengthening resilience in the six Eastern Partner countries. They will outline their views on the future of the Eastern Partnership and highlight current challenges in the EaP countries and necessary action points. In addition, looking back at this challenging year, they will underline the importance of focusing on the post-pandemic recovery.
Building on messages from civil society voiced in the run-up to the EaP Summit, the debate on how best to put into practice the new EaP agenda will focus on security challenges, accountability, as well as meaningful civil society involvement.
