“There are quite general approaches to the railway. The negotiations refer to the Horadiz line from Yeraskh,” RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated during the NA-Government questions-and-answers session on December 8, answering the question on the unblocking. According to him, the mentioned section of the railway is an independent section.
“It also gives an opportunity to connect with Iran from Yeraskh. It connects with the Georgian railway and becomes a solution of regional significance. This is a very important issue for Armenia. If one solution is agreed upon, it will have regional significance. In that case, we will get the peace mandate we are talking about because all the countries of the region will be interested in that infrastructure.”
