Prime Minister of Slovenia stressed the importance of deepening Armenia-EU relations

Prime Ministers of Armenia and Slovenia discuss issues related to Armenia-EU relations, as well as Armenian-Slovenian cooperation

In the sidelines of the Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Janez Janša, Prime Minister of Slovenia, a country that currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked the Slovenian side for promoting close cooperation between Armenia and the EU and for effectively promoting joint programs during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Government is interested in developing and strengthening the partnership with both the European Union and Slovenia in various fields, including economic. At the same time, the Prime Minister referred to the institutional reforms in Armenia, emphasizing that they will be of persistent and resolute nature.

Janez Janša stressed the importance of deepening Armenia-EU relations, adding that the programs implemented within the framework of the Eastern Partnership can give a new impetus to the strengthening of relations. According to the Prime Minister of Slovenia, there is a great potential for cooperation, the realization of which will contribute to the effective implementation of reforms in Armenia.

The interlocutors touched upon the agenda of the Eastern Partnership summit, the developments in the South Caucasus, as well as the results of the trilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of the European Council and the President of Azerbaijan in Brussels.
