“In one of the interviews, Ilham Aliyev proudly stated that they had won the war due to their hateful upbringing,” said Artak Zeylanyan, a human rights activist and former Minister of Justice. He stressed that the member states of international organizations have an obligation to guarantee the protection of human rights not only within their own countries, but also to ensure that the member states implement it.
“For example, there is a mechanism where states can file a complaint against human rights violations in another ECHR. Not only should they refrain from human rights abuses in their own countries, but they should also be held accountable by other member states of the organization.”
According to Artak Zeynalyan, this confession by Ilham Aliyev should not go unnoticed in the modern world.
