For what and why were the two Azeri captives returned? Is there an agreement that the Armenian captives in Azerbaijan will be returned? The Chairman of the NA Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan said in response to these questions, “No comment.”
In response to the question of why the Armenian side agreed to return the Azeri captives so quickly when our captives have not been returned, Andranik Kocharyan answered, “Do not speculate, it will definitely become evident to you. Do you know what happened? Do not manipulate those questions.”
On December 20, the deputies of the Armenia faction presented facts on how a part of the Goris-Kapan road section was handed over to Azerbaijan in a written document. Anna Grigoryan and Gegham Manukyan showed a whole series of written documents, revealing the chronology of events and explaining what happened in Syunik.
Andranik Kocharyan said that the RA Prime Minister had already given the answer to that question during the NA-Government questions-and-answers session. Regarding the criticism of the Armenian-Turkish dialogue that the Armenian envoy is inexperienced and young, Andranik Kocharyan said, “Ruben Rubinyan also has advantages, you mentioned only one – age, but Rubinyan is the NA Deputy Speaker, before that he was Deputy Foreign Minister, and the problem is not only Rubinyan. Rubinyan will also have a very representative staff to negotiate on these issues.”

He said that a “process” is going on with Turkey that s aimed at maintaining the ceasefire without losing our sovereignty and interests.
