The Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan Met With CSTO Secretary-General Stanislav Zas
On December 22, the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, met with the Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas, who is in Armenia, on a working visit.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the programs to be implemented during Armenia’s chairmanship in the CSTO. In this context, the joint activities of the CSTO member states in developing a policy against terrorism, extremism, migration security, biological security and drug trafficking were considered a priority.
The interlocutors exchanged views on contributing to the easing of tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Tajik-Kyrgyz and Tajik-Afghan borders. Here, the CSTO Secretary-General stressed the growing likelihood of migration of Afghan refugees to the territories of the CSTO member states, describing it as a migration challenge.
