Gagik Minasyan, a member of the Republican Party’s Supreme Body, spoke at a press conference at the Henaran Press Club about the processes taking place around Armenia, in particular, the statements of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process, within the framework of which the first meeting is taking place today. According to the RPA figure, the situation would be completely different if our country maintained the military and economic position it had in 2018 that allowed it to be a factor in regional developments.
Meanwhile, now that Armenia has lost its subjectivity as a result of the defeat in the 44-day war, he considers it dangerous to continue negotiations with Turkey, as it is obvious to him that Turkey will be forgiven a lot in the process of normalization of relations. The same goes for Azerbaijan. In this context, Aliyev’s “hysterical” statements, according to the speaker, prove that the period given to them after the defeat of Armenia is coming to an end and a period is coming when their positions should be conditioned not by victory in the war, but by the new world order. The lack of time is the reason why they are trying to implement the Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani agreements quickly, so that they bear the stamp of our disgraceful defeat in the 44-day war.
“Every day of the capitulation regime, before the war, during the war and after it, is a disaster for our state. At the same time, now it will become more obvious, because in this turbulent situation, a very serious, far-sighted, and reliable force is needed to lead the state, and this force has repeatedly proved that it is everything but a ruling force. It has become a conciliatory government after the war that agrees to the demands of all parties, be it from Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan or whatever the consequences for the state. Their goal is one – to stay in power for at least one more day, because they know that they will be held accountable for all the destruction they have done to the head of the nation and the state, with the full force of the law,” Gagik Minasyan said.
