“A campaign has been launched against our negotiator with Turkey since yesterday. And this is not a campaign not against Ruben Rubinyan, a member of the Civil Contract or vice speaker of the National Assembly, but against the representative of the Republic of Armenia. In other words, it is against the Republic of Armenia,” Civil Contract MP Artur Hovhannisyan stated at the January 18 plenary sitting.
He asked questions. “Who gets to start a campaign against Armenia? Who else but Turkish agents of influence or other agents of foreign influence? Who benefited from doing everything so that the tanks turned to Yerevan during the days of the war? Who else but Azerbaijani or Turkish agents of influence? Who gets to break state structures and buildings after the war or to expel the General Staff soldiers against the state? Who else but Azerbaijani or Turkish agents of influence?” Then, Artur Hovhannisyan looked at the ranks of the opposition. “Dear colleagues, are you agents of foreign influence? I and the majority of the population have reasonable grounds to believe so.”
