Ermenihaber. Garo Paylan, an Armenian member of the Turkish Parliament (Mejlis) and of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (HDP), has stated that the assassination case of Hrant Dink, the founding editor of the Agos newspaper, is being covered up. He stressed that political will is needed to uncover the murder case.
“Unfortunately, we are doomed to live for 15 years without Hrant Dink, who kept preaching that we should coexist,” Paylan said in parliament.
“In those days, the darkness inside the state decided to silence Hrant Dink. On January 19, 2007, Hrant Dink was assassinated in a premeditated crime. This is a murder the state took part in,” the MP said, emphasizing that the Turkish state has never faced its inner darkness.
