“The international community has noted that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has not been resolved, and the OSCE Minsk Group is an important platform for resolving the issue at the moment,” Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said at a briefing after the government session on Thursday. According to him, the visit of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to the region will enable a long-term and comprehensive solution to the problem.
Armen Grigoryan said that they will continue to work to be able to formulate a comprehensive peace agreement, and it is necessary for the Armenian side to find a solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem in order to sign the agreement. “You know that the platform for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is the OSCE Minsk Group, and within its framework, we will try to find a solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through negotiations and political tools.”
The Secretary-General of the Security Council also listed other issues, such as the unblocking, demarcation, and delimitation of roads, the solution of which should lay the foundations for a peace agreement with Azerbaijan.
