According to the statement on the official website, Armen Sarkissian, President of Armenia, has resigned.

Armen Sarkissian was elected President of the Republic of Armenia by the National Assembly of the country in 2018.

In 1996-1997, he served as Prime Minister of Armenia.

In 1998-2000, Armen Sarkissian was reappointed as Armenia’s Ambassador to the UK and the Holy See. And in 2013-2018, he was Armenia’s Ambassador to the UK.
